Initial Situation and Objective

From Idea to Decision – digital, transparent, efficient.

Improvement ideas and investment proposals were previously submitted through decentralized channels and documented in different formats. As a result, evaluations lacked consistency, and decision-making materials often had to be compiled manually, leading to increased coordination efforts and slower approval processes.

The goal was to introduce a digital solution that offers employees a structured way to submit ideas and guide them through a clearly defined, transparent approval process. At the same time, decision-makers needed a concise, standardized basis for evaluating each proposal. The solution had to be intuitive to use, provide a familiar user experience, and seamlessly integrable into the existing system landscape.

Solution

More efficient Decision-Making through standardized Idea Evaluation.

In collaboration with Rega, a customized Power App was developed to digitally map the investment and idea generation process. The solution is based on two structured proposal phases. This standardization enables comparability and improves the quality of the submitted proposals.

A key feature of the solution is the automatically generated one-pager. At the touch of a button, the structured information is transformed into a compact basis for decision-making. This significantly reduces manual effort and accelerates the entire decision-making process. The visual design was deliberately modeled after existing Rega applications to ensure high user acceptance.

Project

Power Apps as the Foundation for structured Idea Management.

Initially, existing processes were analyzed and key pain points were identified. Based on this, a proof of concept was developed, which validated early on that the structure and logic of the two-stage application model met the requirements. The subsequent implementation took place iteratively in close coordination with the project team. Features were expanded step by step, feedback was integrated directly, and the user experience was continuously optimized. Following a successful testing phase, the solution was rolled out and embedded within the organization.
