Implementation of a holistic Cloud and Workplace Strategy.
Previously, employees communicated via channels such as Teams, email, or third-party solutions. They typically stored their data on servers. Keeping the development environment up to date was time-consuming. To create a consistent, secure, and location-independent workplace, it was necessary to define a new cloud and workplace strategy. At the same time, the internal IT infrastructure was to be completely replaced. As a logical consequence of this situation, the decision was made to implement a cloud-managed modern workplace with comprehensive security features.
Solution
A secure and customized Workplace.
In a very short time, Epic Fusion assessed the initial situation using the digital fitness check. Working closely with the edoniq team, they aligned the requirements with the strategy through iterative coordination – laying the foundation for the Modern Workplace. The closely guided, agile project methodology enabled adjustments to be reviewed and approved directly. At the same time, the project team developed the definitions for the next project phases in collaborative workshops. Through Epic Fusion’s holistic 5-step plan approach, the previous telephony solution and existing server-based data were also migrated to Microsoft Teams. To meet the high security standards, a cloud security architecture was developed. Based on Microsoft Security Layers, it ensures the highest level of adaptive security – across all users and devices. All development environments are always kept up to date with the latest updates. New devices are installed directly via the cloud with just a few clicks. This saves costs and significantly increases flexibility.
