Workplace Ninja Summit 2026

There are conferences where you sit through presentations, watch slides, and afterward feel like you might as well have just watched a YouTube stream. The Workplace Ninja Summit in Baden is the exact opposite. Here, it is all about real knowledge, real experiences, and real exchange. With over 100 technical sessions, community tools, new Microsoft developments, and plenty of geek energy. And Epic Fusion was right in the thick of it. We are not only heading home with some great give-aways, but also with a notebook full of notes.

What is the Workplace Ninja Summit?

The Workplace Ninja Summit is one of Europe’s largest community-driven IT conferences, focusing on Microsoft Endpoint Management, Modern Workplace and Security. For anyone working professionally with Intune, Entra ID, Windows Autopilot or Endpoint Security, it has become a go-to place for exchanging ideas, sharing expertise and discovering new perspectives. The numbers speak for themselves: Up to 640 attendees from around the world, more than 100 technical sessions spread across four days, and speakers from the Microsoft community as well as Microsoft product teams. All in a format deliberately designed to put everyone on an equal footing. No VIP area. No sales pitch. If you are on stage, you have something to say. The event took place at the Trafo Congress Centre in Baden, a former Brown Boveri transformer factory that has since been transformed into a distinctive event venue. Fittingly, the place has its own story: once a site for generating energy, today a place for transferring knowledge.

Why is it worth attending? 5 Reasons.

Technical depth you rarely find elsewhere. The Summit is explicitly not a beginner event. Sessions on Privileged Identity Management, next-level troubleshooting, macOS with Intune or Security Posture Management in the age of AI offer real hands-on content you can take straight back to the job.
Knowledge you will not find in any manual. The most valuable insights often happen during the breaks or in the Ninja Tips & Tricks session, where community members share their own learnings. If you have spent hours fighting an Intune issue only to discover over coffee that the solution is a community tool on GitHub, you know exactly what we mean.

When the Hall turns into a Power Station.

The atmosphere at the Summit was electric. Moving through the Trafo Hall, you could literally feel the energy in the room. The buzz of conversations, the hunt for gadgets and give-aways (IT nerds do not just love socks and stickers 😉), and the enthusiastic participation in games like Flappy Bird and our race track created an atmosphere that makes you want to come back next year. And one thing really stood out: Nobody talks about great slides. The feedback is all about people, knowledge and energy.

Key Take-aways and Learnings.

Admittedly, the community makes the Summit a lot of fun. But the truth is, we did not attend the Workplace Ninja Summit just for the good vibes. We came to take away a few learnings, too. Here we go:

Cloud-native first is the new baseline. Hybrid is on the decline. Intune-only, Entra ID-joined only, zero-touch provisioning, Autopatch instead of WSUS – the direction is clear. If you’re not planning for it now, you’ll be under pressure in two years.
macOS and Intune: Microsoft means business. Platform SSO, LAPS for macOS, and first steps towards an Enrollment Status Page show that Microsoft is investing heavily in the platform. For organisations with mixed environments, that’s an important development. Managing everything from a single console could genuinely become a reality.
Community tools are state of the art. Some of the best solutions to everyday challenges do not come from Microsoft, but from the community:

Migrating apps from SCCM to Intune is getting easier. Patch My PC is working on fully automated SCCM-to-Intune app migration. For anyone who knows how much manual work this currently involves, this was one of the Summit’s most relevant announcements.
Security and management are inseparable. Security was not a separate track. It was present in almost every session. If you manage devices, you have to think about security, too. Period.

There is one thing online courses and webinars cannot replace: Direct exchange with people who know the same challenges, use the same tools and ask the same questions.
