Of course, MMS doesn't stand for "Miami Meets Sanche" but for "Midwest Management Summit" (mmsmoa.com), and when the MMS takes place in Fort Lauderdale near Miami—as it did this year from October 20 to 23—the conference is dubbed the “Flamingo Edition.” In fact, there were quite a few “colorful characters” in the lineup of speakers. I was there to find out the very latest from them.
Endpoint Management and Intune
Explore the latest developments in protecting data and applications on mobile devices, as well as managing cloud desktops with Azure Virtual Desktop.
Windows 365 and Windows 11
The conference provided insights into current and upcoming features, as well as security capabilities. Of particular interest to Epic Fusion were best practices for the deployment and management of Windows 365 and Windows 11.
IT Automation
New Azure capabilities and Logic Apps offer exceptional potential for automating even complex business processes. Combined with Artificial Intelligence, they create a powerful platform for intelligent automation.
Microsoft Copilot and AI Integration
It was particularly insightful to see how Microsoft 365 Copilot can be used for security and threat management. The capabilities of Artificial Intelligence continue to grow at an incredible pace.
As attendance at MMS is intentionally limited, the quality of this year's Flamingo Edition was exceptionally high. The exchange with fellow attendees was invaluable, and the Q&A sessions proved to be highly engaging. The most exciting stories, however, were shared during the Happy Hour and Seaside Sessions, where personal conversations with the speakers were possible. Anyone who knows me a little will know that I was in my element.
