Back from Vienna – EPPC 2025 Shows: The Future Is Agent-First.

Last year, the focus was on copilots—this year, it’s clear: intelligent virtual agents don’t just provide support—they actively collaborate.

The Power Platform community, Microsoft product managers, and tech pioneers from all over Europe gathered in Vienna—and we were right in the thick of it. Three members of our team—Pascal, Xiomi, and Leandro—were on-site at the European Power Platform Conference (EPPC) and are bringing back exciting insights, concrete takeaways, and fresh AI expertise.

The Dawn of the Agent-First Era

Last year, the focus was on copilots—this year, the message was even clearer:
We’re moving into an era where intelligent, virtual agents don’t just provide support, but actively collaborate.

The conference impressively demonstrated that working «with agents» is no longer a distant vision, but a clear goal—with technologies like Copilot Studio and Azure AI Services at the center.

From a Simple Bot to an Intelligent Orchestrator

A key takeaway: Agents are no longer just simple bots. With Copilot Studio, complex, orchestrating systems are created that:

  • combineknowledge from Dataverse, SharePoint, and other sources,

  • trigger processes via Power Automate flows and connectors,

  • and even communicate with other agents.

 

This fundamentally changes how we think about and develop solutions.

Vision. Reality. Implementation.

Particularly valuable: in-depth insights into Microsoft’s product roadmap.

Also featured: the new Model Context Protocol (MCP) in Copilot Studio—a crucial piece of the puzzle for building robust, context-aware agent solutions. Workshops, best practices, and one-on-one conversations with the minds behind the platform made the event a real knowledge boost.
