When Xiomi planned his first big trip to South Korea in 2024, one thing was clear: Why choose between work and passion when you can have both?
South Korea was his dream. Work is another one of his passions. So, he combined the two. Planned, organised and probably saved more coworking spaces than most people save cafés on Google Maps. Between Seoul, new experiences, Korean street food and everything that comes with spending an extended period abroad, there was work to be done. Wherever it made sense. Whenever focus was needed. And, ideally, with a good coworking space and reliable Wi-Fi within reach. For his clients, though, very little changed. Probably nothing at all. Except maybe that Xiomi seemed a little more relaxed – and a little happier – in meetings.
Xiomi knows his way around South Korea pretty well. So, naturally, he decided to do it 2026 all again. He will work from there once more. And after that? The laptop will stay closed, because it is time for a vacation.
For us, workation means organizing work in a way that still leaves room for life. Living in a different place for a few weeks. Experiencing a new daily routine. Working in the morning, wandering through a city in the evening. Completing a project and then experiencing things spontaneously. That is workation. Of course, this requires trust, clear responsibilities, and communication. And the ability to deliver reliably, even remotely.
But why not work wherever you want to be? Why not extend a trip instead of postponing it? We are committed to ensuring our employees have this flexibility. Epic Fusion brings it all together. Then. Now. And in the future.
