Epic Fusion with Pascal Aeschlimann, Friendly Wizzard

Epic Fusion creates customized digital workspaces where happier users work more productively. With Pascal Aeschlimann, we’re bringing on board a Senior Consultant & Solution Architect for Microsoft 365 who lives and works by the very same credo that is our top priority: Greater efficiency without additional well-being is just as short-lived as additional well-being without greater productivity.

Pascal Aeschlimann is certainly not a man of two minds. And everything else about him is in perfect order as well. Yet we couldn’t help but notice a near-contradiction in his thinking and actions—though it’s one that appeals to us just as much as it fits in with our philosophy.

Pascal entered the digital world through an IT apprenticeship focused on application development. At Swisscom, he quickly progressed through various roles—from Application Engineer and Scrum Master to Consultant for Microsoft 365, specializing in SharePoint, Power Platform, and Teams. This was followed by a move to his most recent professional role as a Microsoft 365 Cloud Consultant at an internationally active SaaS company. At the same time, Pascal first pursued further education to become a technician with a Higher Federal Diploma (HF) in Computer Science, Computer Software Engineering, and Computer Science; he is currently completing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at the FFHS.

It quickly became clear to us that Pascal would impress us professionally right from the start. His knack for IT and his enthusiasm for innovation are reflected in his remarkable track record, particularly when it comes to M365-based transformation and migration projects. But the longer we talked with him about topics like process automation and building customer expertise, the clearer it became to us that Pascal is a standout talent of a special kind. On the one hand, he impressed us with his structured thoroughness in reasoning and communication—which he even describes as his «superpower.» Pascal is clearly aware that intuition, agility, and a thirst for knowledge alone do not create sustainable value—that innovation can only emerge through rational exchange with others, which requires the thoroughness of attentive listening, well-organized arguments, and precise language.

On the other hand, however, we also clearly noticed how much of a priority the positive impact of technological innovation on users is for Pascal. We take him at his word when he tells us that nothing excites him more about his work than the opportunity, during a workspace transformation, to transform «years and skepticism into interest and curiosity»—and thus foster a mindset among employees that allows them to creatively unlock the full potential of their new work environment. With Pascal Aeschlimann, our new Senior Consultant & Solution Architect for Microsoft 365, we’re gaining a true IT wizard who possesses a knack for communication and connecting with people—a quality that might seem almost a bit contradictory for a «techie.» We welcome him all the more warmly: After all, it is precisely this apparent contradiction that defines Epic Fusion’s «Digital first, humans not second» approach, through which we create customized digital workspaces where productivity and well-being fuel each other.
