Epic Fusion with Florian Frick, Versatile High-Flyer

Epic Fusion is creating the digital workplaces of tomorrow that allow human talent to flourish. With Florian Frick, we’ve welcomed a Modern Workplace Engineer who, as a versatile high-flyer, is a perfect fit for us—just as clear, windless days are perfect for sightseeing by plane.

If you want to deliver outstanding services, you need first-class teams. And recruiting for such teams can sometimes be quite challenging—but fortunately, not always. Because sometimes you come across people like Florian Frick, whose track record, determination, and customer-centric mindset stand out so much that the selection process becomes a walk in the park.

Florian began his career with an apprenticeship as a computer scientist (EFZ) while simultaneously earning his technical vocational baccalaureate. He then started working as a systems engineer but soon realized that a full-time position alone wasn’t enough to satisfy his drive. So, while working, he earned a bachelor’s degree in medical informatics from BFH—a specialization in which IT intersects with human well-being more dramatically than almost anywhere else. During his studies, he changed jobs several times, working for both private and government-affiliated organizations to further develop his skills in various technological and sociocultural contexts. And because he really, really hates twiddling his thumbs, he didn’t stop at his passion for aviation—he also earned his certified private pilot’s license during that time.

To say that Florian is a go-getter would be quite an understatement. As positive as a strong sense of determination is in and of itself, however, if that laser-focused gaze ahead comes at the expense of prudence, it can become problematic. Fortunately, that’s not the case with Florian—quite the opposite, in fact. Whatever he wants to achieve, he wants to achieve it with and for other people. For him, other people’s perspectives and ways of working aren’t a straitjacket, but opportunities to learn. And whenever he gets into technical discussions, he always comes back to one key point: meeting the needs and desires of diverse customers. Anyone who doesn’t just want to implement technology, but rather use it to create top-notch modern workplaces where happy employees can work productively, needs digitalization experts with vision, interest, and an understanding of the big picture—people like Florian. So we’re thrilled that he’s joined us—welcome to the team, Versatile High-Flyer!
