FabCon Europe 2024: Data, AI, and a Strong Community

The conference showed that Microsoft Fabric is already an integral part of many companies.

FabCon Europe 2025 in Vienna was the go-to event for everyone who works with Microsoft Fabric or is just getting started. Sanche and Dimoth were there on behalf of Epic Fusion; they attended sessions, spoke with the product team, and met many familiar faces from the data community.

Fabric im Alltag angekommen.

Was uns auffiel: Fabric ist längst Teil des Arbeitsalltags vieler Unternehmen. In den Gesprächen ging es weniger um das, Was ist Fabric?, sondern um das  «Wie setzen wir es richtig um?» Ob Data Engineering, Governance oder KI-Integration — überall war spürbar, wie stark die Plattform inzwischen in Projekten verankert ist und wie sehr Wissen gemeinsam weiterentwickelt wird.

Zwischen Technologie und Praxis.

Besonders spannend waren die Momente, in denen Ideen zu Lösungen wurden. Teams zeigten, wie sie Fabric nutzen, um Datenflüsse zu vereinfachen, Transparenz zu schaffen und KI-Modelle produktiv zu machen. Es ging um Erfahrungen — was funktioniert, wo es noch hakt und wie man die Plattform im eigenen Umfeld einsetzen kann.


Our take.

For us, FabCon 2025 was less of a conference and more of an exchange among people who don’t just want to store data, but also understand and use it. We came back with lots of new ideas—about architecture, collaboration, and how we can use Fabric even more effectively in future projects. Because that’s exactly what it’s all about: solutions that make a difference in everyday life and truly simplify work.

Next steps.

Our time in Vienna sparked many new thoughts and perspectives. Through engaging conversations, presentations, and encounters, ideas emerged that will stay with us for a long time to come. We’re incorporating these insights directly into our projects. They’re shaping our collaboration, our approach, and our day-to-day work with data.

This is how inspiration turns into something new and concrete: better solutions, fresh approaches, and even more joy in what we do.
