Press Release: Launch of Frontier Engine - AI Agents that work, not wait

Written by Ylenia Sieber | 07.07.2026

Frontier Engine marks the launch of a new generation of AI technology for businesses: not just another AI app, but a platform that connects existing systems, data, and AI models to create an intelligent organization.

With Frontier Engine, the Swiss company Epic Fusion is launching a new enterprise AI platform that goes far beyond traditional AI tools. While many solutions offer isolated chatbots or individual AI assistants, Frontier Engine orchestrates a company’s entire existing system landscape, including its Microsoft environment, databases, business applications, and leading AI models.

Unlike traditional software solutions, Frontier Engine does not integrate into existing systems as just another tool and does not operate in isolation. Instead, the platform connects existing tools, data sources, and processes into an intelligent, end-to-end workflow. This gives companies access to over 25 specialized AI agents that work together like a digital team.

«The future belongs not to individual AI tools, but to intelligently orchestrated systems. Companies don’t need another isolated application – they need a platform that intelligently connects existing processes, data, and tools,» said Sanche Baskaran, CEO & Partner at Epic Fusion, regarding today’s launch.

Much more than an AI Assistent.

While most AI solutions today function primarily as personal assistants, Frontier Engine operates as a central AI infrastructure layer for the entire enterprise. The platform connects leading AI models from OpenAI, Claude, and Google within a unified architecture, intelligently selecting the best model for each task – while allowing users to choose their preferred model when needed.

At the same time, Frontier Engine integrates seamlessly into the Microsoft ecosystem including Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Dynamics, and Azure. Employees can leverage AI directly within their familiar workflows, without switching between different platforms or tools. The key difference: Frontier Engine does not just understand individual prompts – it understands the entire organization.

Digital AI Agents that don’t just respond. They take on tasks.

The Frontier Engine platform provides companies with a fully interconnected AI agent system. These specialized AI agents take on key roles within the company from strategic consulting to operational implementation. These include, among others: CEO Advisor, Sales Analyst, Marketing Strategist, Finance Controller, IT Architect, Operations Manager, and many more. They analyze data, coordinate processes, make decisions, and work around the clock – autonomously and interconnected. This creates a new form of collaboration between humans and AI.

«Our goal is to provide companies with an intelligent structure that functions like a second, digital management and operations team,» says Andreas Schmerek, COO & Partner at Epic Fusion.

Focus on Security, Governance, and Swiss Hosting.

Especially in the enterprise environment, data privacy, access rights, and compliance are among the key challenges when introducing AI. Frontier Engine addresses these requirements with:

  • role-based permissions

  • controlled data access

  • auditability

  • secure integration into existing enterprise architectures

This enables companies to maintain full control over their data, models, and processes at all times. Frontier Engine is fully hosted in Switzerland: The infrastructure runs on Microsoft Azure Switzerland, one of the few cloud locations with a Swiss data residency guarantee. This allows the platform to meet the highest requirements for data sovereignty and compliance – a decisive advantage for Swiss companies subject to regulatory requirements such as the revised Data Protection Act (revFADP).

Developed and proven by Epic Fusion itself.

Frontier Engine was not only developed but also extensively tested internally at Epic Fusion and deployed in production. The insights gained from its own operations have directly shaped the platform’s continuous development. This gives Epic Fusion first-hand experience of the challenges organizations face and has enabled the platform to be designed with a strong practical focus.

«I developed Frontier Engine because I no longer wanted a reactive tool that simply waits for requests. My goal was to create a platform where intelligent agents actively work for people, take on tasks, connect information, and prepare decisions. Today, companies do not need another AI that only responds – they need digital teams that think ahead and take action. That is exactly what we built Frontier Engine for,» says Jannik Reinhard, Head of AI at Epic Fusion, about the development of Frontier Engine.

5 Years of Epic Fusion and a clear Market Position.

With the launch of Frontier Engine, Epic Fusion is also celebrating its fifth anniversary – positioning itself as a Swiss provider of Enterprise AI Orchestration with the ambition to help organizations transition towards AI-first operations. Frontier Engine is designed for companies looking to increase efficiency, break down silos, and accelerate decision-making processes.
