And that upside is the fact that it doesn’t depend on gender, age, nationality, background, educational path, hair length, fingernail color, or other things that don’t interest us—but rather—as Solomiia’s example so beautifully demonstrates—transcends such trivialities, so to speak.
Solomiia began her tech career with a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems and Technology from Shevchenko University in Kyiv. Eager as she is, she was already working as a developer at a multinational full-cycle software development company as soon as she received her diploma. In no time at all, she had not only become an expert in app development and machine learning but had also gained a comprehensive understanding of the business side of things through her work on Banking-as-a-Service projects.
Solomiia came to Switzerland against the backdrop of the well-known, less-than-ideal circumstances, and she has been living here for less than two years. None of that, however, has prevented her from already landing a position in the field of applied machine intelligence and starting a Master’s degree in Computer Science at a University of Applied Sciences. When she introduced herself to us, the Epic Fusion happened practically without delay. We were immediately impressed by her passion for tech and AI, her “Let’s go for it!” attitude, and her empathetic, nuanced approach, which allows her to meet people where they are, no matter who they are. And Solomiia realized just as quickly that Epic Fusion is a dynamic hub of diverse talents where nothing matters more than the right spirit—a space into which, as she told us, she’s excited to now «dive deeper.»
