European Power Platform Conference (EPPC26) | Copenhagen

Written by Charlot Allner | 06.07.2026

The pace of technological development is impressive. And nowhere was this more evident than at the European Power Platform Conference 2026 (EPPC) in Copenhagen. From June 29th to July 2nd 2026, the European Power Platform community gathered at the Bella Center to explore the latest developments in Microsoft Power Platform, Copilot Studio, AI agents, automation, and modern business solutions. With more than 2,000 attendees, numerous sessions, tutorials, and hands-on case studies, the EPPC ranks among the most important European platform events for makers, developers, IT professionals, and business leaders. The conference’s key message: Artificial intelligence is changing the way we develop solutions, but successful transformation continues to be driven by people, community, and governance.

The Epic Fusion team was also on site in Copenhagen. For some team members, it was their third time attending the conference, while for others it was their first experience. What united everyone was a shared ambition: to gain fresh insights, discover best practices and actively shape the future of the Microsoft Power Platform. Over four inspiring days, the focus extended beyond the latest technologies to a more fundamental question: How can organisations create sustainable business value with these new capabilities?

Key Takeaways from EPPC26.

1. AI is changing everything. But not without the right people.

Artificial intelligence was unquestionably the dominant theme of the conference. Developments around Copilot, AI agents and intelligent automation are advancing at an extraordinary pace. At the same time, one message came through loud and clear: the future belongs not only to the technology itself, but to the people who design, implement and continuously improve it. The role of makers and builders is evolving. Rather than becoming less important, their expertise is becoming even more valuable as organizations embrace AI-powered solutions. One of the standout sessions was delivered by Scott Durow, who demonstrated live how modern Power Platform solutions are built and how quickly new capabilities can be transformed into practical business applications. The key takeaway was clear: Organizations should not simply adopt new technologies. They must also invest in learning how to use them effectively to create real business value.

2. Governance is not a barrier. It is a growth enabler.

Another central theme throughout the conference was governance. During the opening keynote, Ryan Cunningham emphasised that governance should not be viewed as a necessary restriction, but as the foundation for sustainable innovation. As more employees build solutions using low-code platforms and AI tools, organisations need clear guardrails, well-defined standards and a scalable platform strategy. Strong governance enables businesses to:

  • Foster innovation rather than restrict it

  • Scale citizen development securely and responsibly

  • Establish clear roles, responsibilities and standards

  • Strengthen collaboration between business and technology teams

Governance thus transforms from a control instrument into an enabler for growth.

3. The future lies in the convergence of apps, automation and AI agents.

The sessions and discussions made one thing clear: the Power Platform is evolving rapidly. The focus is no longer on individual apps or standalone automations, but on intelligent solutions that understand business processes, support users and, in many cases, can execute tasks autonomously. Key technologies and topics included:

  • Microsoft Copilot Studio

  • AI Agents

  • Power Apps

  • Power Automate

  • Power BI

  • Dynamics 365 integration

EPPC26 showed that the boundary between classic software development, low-code and AI-supported innovation is increasingly shifting.

4. Adoption determines success – not technology alone.

One of the highlights for our team was the session by Miguel Verweij and Myrthe Scholten from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. They shared how Schiphol successfully scaled the Power Platform across a complex organisation with more than 700 citizen developers. Their success was driven not only by technology, but by the people behind it. Key elements included:

  • Engaging users from the very beginning

  • Building skills and capabilities across the organisation

  • Supporting change through effective adoption

  • Creating a culture of continuous learning

This strongly resonates with our own philosophy «digital first, humans not second». One of the conference's most important lessons was that implementing AI is not simply a technology initiative. It is a transformation of how people work, collaborate and embrace new ways of thinking.

5. Community remains a key success factor.

Beyond the latest technological innovations, one thing stood out throughout the conference: the strength of the Power Platform community. Conversations with experts, Microsoft leaders, MVPs and peers from other organisations reinforced the value of sharing knowledge and learning from one another. It is this unique combination of innovation, practical experience and community that makes EPPC such a valuable event. As Ruth A. Aisabokhae aptly put it: «Curiosity is queen.»

That same curiosity drives us at Epic Fusion. We are passionate about exploring new technologies, challenging them with a critical mindset and working closely with our customers to build solutions that deliver real, lasting business value.

Conclusion of the EPPC26.

EPPC26 once again demonstrated that the future of business solutions is becoming more intelligent, more connected and faster than ever before. But technology alone is not enough. Successful digital transformation happens when people, processes and technology come together to create meaningful and sustainable business outcomes. We return from Copenhagen with valuable new insights – particularly around AI, governance, citizen development and the next generation of business applications. These learnings will help us continue supporting our customers in unlocking the full potential of the Microsoft Power Platform.
