Epic Fusion with Laura Sajdiski-Zbinden – Ops Captain

Written by Ylenia Sieber | 09.10.2026

As Team Lead for Operations & Support at Epic Fusion, Laura Sajdiski-Zbinden keeps everything running smoothly: She coordinates her team, ensures seamless operations for our clients, and combines technical expertise with a willingness to listen to client concerns. In short – when everything runs smoothly for our clients, it is often thanks to her.

In this interview, she explains what good operations mean to her, why honest communication often pays off more than the next fancy technology, and how she envisions the workplace of the future.

Laura, what is your role at Epic Fusion?

As Team Lead for Operations & Support, I work with my team to ensure the reliable operation of our clients’ IT environments. I coordinate tasks, address client concerns, and continue to refine our processes. In doing so, I bridge the technical perspective with the needs of our clients and my team.

What do you hope to achieve at Epic Fusion?

I want our clients to know us, value our collaboration, and know that they can rely on us. This requires a strong team, clear processes, and personal, engaging communication. At the same time, I want to help shape an environment where we share knowledge, take on responsibility, and grow together.

How do you envision the workplace of the future?

The workplace of the future is flexible, secure, and easy to use. Automation and AI should support us in our daily work, simplify routine tasks, and create space for new ideas. AI should also be fun and spark curiosity to try new things. What matters to me is that technology noticeably makes everyday work easier and that people enjoy working with it.

From Client Engineering to Ops Captain at Epic Fusion.

Laura comes from the Bern region and is a qualified IT specialist (EFZ). She then went on to become a certified IT technician (HF). Her career path led her from client engineering through cloud computing and Microsoft 365 to product ownership. Along the way, she learned not only how technical services work, but also how to coordinate and develop them, making them truly usable for customers. At Epic Fusion, she now takes on the role of Team Lead Operations & Support, focusing on the area where she can have the greatest impact: on both people and technology.

When things are running smoothly, they are running smoothly. When they are not, Laura is there.

When systems work, issues are resolved quickly, and customers know who to contact, a lot has gone right behind the scenes. Laura and her team make sure that's exactly what happens. With technical expertise, clear communication, and a good dose of persistence.

Laura, we are so glad you are with us. We look forward to working together to improve the future of Epic Fusion and our customers.
